really? i think it was harsh call. didnt even look like it was on purpose. short distance as well while jumping and the ball hits is flared arm. unlucky tbh^^

with the rule you could argue both ways tbh.

Anything else is illegal imo, of course

Or also, over your face and sack like when in the wall during FK

well, he was jumping for the header. you could very well argue that this was his normal jumping motion (imo it was). no1 jumps with arms behind the back or by your waist. in umtitti's case, it was unnatural, and not arguable. but here its kinda different and very debatable imo.



look at no 5 and the other danish guy and their arms. lol

former ref urs meier said the same thing on german tv btw. apparantly clattenburg said the same thing. it's not a penalty for them.

the rule book says

• the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand)
• the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball)
• the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an infringement

no pen for me or at least super harsh going by the rule book.

it matters, you simply cant stop a goal opportunity like that

the phrasing is absolutely terrible and its a lottery every single time
depending on the guy you talk to you will hear deliberate vs non deliberate, natural position vs unnatural, enlarging your body area towards the ball

most actual football players will tell you that the position of the hand does matter
its too far away from the body and not natural at all

well, i am not responsible for the rules, and imo they are kinda unconclusive and leave way too much room for interpretations.

you heard urs meier? acting like its clear as day, if two former refs (1 on german, 1 on english tv) think its not a pen is lets say questionable

fair point but urs meier is also the guy who took away a goal from england in 2004 despite not seeing anything ^^
