Season turning into disaster. And Kevin why would we sell Ferdinand and Smalling? Ferdinand obviously has to lead the team now vida is hurt for the rest of the season and smalling is very young and can still be developed into a good player. Plus both are English giving united over the required amount of home grown players.

Would you trust the smalling-ferdinand defense for the rest of the season? I wouldn't tbh, i'd get someone in january to team up with ferdi.

Just last year I think, Utd had a very good offer from Real for Vidic, and looks like Fergie made a mistake of not listening to it. He's been injury prone in the past, but this one is looking to be the killer. Wouldn't be surprised at all if his career spirals down after it. Hope I'm wrong. Btw, footballing ppl in England are increasingly talking about another thing, that Utd fans fear to admit, yet they feel it - Rio is past it. He keeps getting exposed at the back more and more. And it's especially seen in bigger games for Utd. At this point there are no doubts about him not starting for England in Euros. Furthermore there is quite big chance he won't even make the squad. And imo this is one of the main reasons Utd are in crap form atm - shaky and unstable defense.

Id trust Ferdinand - Jones. I like Smalling as a right back, though i like Rafael more, but he is still hurt.
