Funny, but Ronaldo has scored 66 penalties in his entire career (12 seasons) Obviously the majority of those came from his day at Real Madrid but I believe he's scored roughly 40-50 penalties @ Real Madrid over the course of 6 seasons, which is less than 10 per season on average... so 14 for a single year is pretty high even by CR7 standards ^^

Don't look at it by number of pens divided by number of games but rather by number of pens divided by the number of times Madrid has entered the opoonent's box.

Madrid enters the opponents box a lot. And they often do it in counter attacks where the opponent is outrun and outnumbered while trying to defend, and so making these defenders much more likely to foul them (both in and out of the box).

What are you talking about? 66 penalties scored in his entire club career. That's EPL + FA Cup + Community Shield + La Liga + Copa del Rey + Super copa de España + Champions League + UEFA Super Cup etc..

66 penalties in 583 matches is about 1 penalty every 9 games.

In Messi's hayday of 91 goals he scored 14 of them via penalties, which is roughly 1 penalty every 6 games, much greater than the CR7 "average"
