Well that's intereting, let's see how his managerial carreer works out... his spell at RM has left a pretty bad image of him here in Spain, since all he'd ever do was go to press conferences and say exaty what Mourinho wanted him to say (they called him Mourinho's puppet). I think this is his first experiece as a manger, so it's hard to know what to expect.

Depor 3 - 1 Mallorca

Terrible game, terrible result. It's true that the ref messed up by sending one of our players off and dissalowing a goal in the 3rd minute, but we played like crap the whole game regardless of the ref. The first half was a complete disaster and we were lucky to be only 2-0 down. Mallorca improved in the second half but that was mainly because Deportivo relaxed knowing that we they weren't gong to lose a 2 goal lead while playing home agaist a team of 10 players.

This leaves our manager Oltra on a very delicate situation. After 14 games, Mallorca, which is supposedly the strongest team in Segunda, is 15th; equidistant from the playoff spots and the relegation zone (3 points away from each), and 8 points away from direct promotion (which is what we should be aiming for). Until today we could see Mallorca becoming more solid day by day; results weren't really good but we could see that the team was improving and it seemed like it was just a matter of time before the team started winning the games, but today the team has taken a huge step back.

It's unacceptable, and something needs to change. Sacking the manager is an option, but if that happens then the club won't be able to sign anyone during the winter window because all of the money will have been spent on sacking the manager and hiring someone else. There aren't many options out there that guarantee succes either... after all this manager seemed like the perfect man for the job since he had promoted the 3 teams he had previously managed in Segunda. I was in favour of keeping this manager and signing some good players in january, but after today's performance I'm not so sure anymore... one thing is certain though, whatever is decided must be decided asap... 1-2 games maximum because, even though there's still 28 games to go, if we keep delaying the decision it will be too late.

However the main problem isn't the manager, but the board, and that's something we can't change.

OHL is kind of in the same situation, they have faith in the coach, but then again they don't. Hope your buys can sort it out.

If it mathers anything, Ogunjimi has been playing really well for us, hasn't scored yet but he works his ass off.

Ugh we won 4-2(should've been 4-1, they scored in the 90') at home last week in a 2 leg playoff and the damn international break ruins our momentum and have to wait until next Sunday.

He seems to be bringing in a lot of good contacts into my club. We lost in the UEFA Cup final the other year to a Spanish team (Seville) in 04/05 i think. Our team seem to have developed relationships with Chelsea, Manchester Utd and Athletico Madrid, with our youth teams going out to Spain to play Athletico last week (We won 1-0).

Will be going to the first home game, on Saturday the 30th November to see how this is panning out for the team, gunna be good i think, i just hope he brings in a motivating factor to the squad, as we have a high quality set of players for the league we play in, and are capable of more, but we seem not to be able to motivate ourselves!
