I'll try to quickly summarize the game for the unlucky fellas that could no see it.

Argentina displayed a possesion oriented vertical spectacular passing football, filled ever now and then with tricks from di maria and messi to get the crowd going.

They did not really push for the break, they saved a lot of energy, with messi & Co not making unnecessary runs or getting too stuck in. They had full and unquestionable control over the match, it looked like they could go up at any time.

Messi was the one to break all iran's desperate hopes for a draw when he scored a screamer cutting in on his left leg from the edge of the box.

well messi always saves energy with his 6.5 km on avg
the rest has 10+ though since they need to win the balls back that messi lost

The rest of the team is running more than messi and not saving as much energy to get into good shape for the quarters. Messi already is after a long season. Aguerro also does not run much, neither is di maria. The south american guys need to reach their more european based counterparts & get in excellent shape, to them its nothing more than an athleticism training.

Now that i have a different angle on the event i change my initial opinion. Red for the irani player.

Mascherano gets first to the ball. You can clearly see he hits it by the change of direction, the guy comes from behind and looks to get mascherano's leg as if it were a penalty. So half a red for tackle from behind without reaching the ball, half for trying to dive for a peno.

Not impressed by Argentina at all.
Higuain and Aguero seriously need to step up their games.
Messi needs to work harder and do more instead of walking around 90% of the game.
His 2 goals has been winning the 2 games and has been amazing goals, but thats the only positive to be honest.

Even I could not have seen such a betrayal from your part and such a blatant bending of the absolute truth.
