does goals total include extra time? i assume penalty shoot-outs don't, correct?

Yes total goals in Regular and Extra time are tallied but PK shoot out goals don't.

great, thx for clarification. i mean, my guess will be eliminated with the 1st quarter final game again, but ima pretend like this is vital information to me anyway. xD

Goals include all games from quarter finals and up not including the 3rd place game. Hope that clears it up.

Based on the other predictions I feel like they've predicted only 3 games and not 7. Since 9 goals in 7 games seems rare
