+1 to Martial, despite limited minutes this year he is well worth a roster slot. France is just so loaded on talent that their 3rd squad is arguably better than England’s first

Also as laughable as it seems England need a CDM/CM like Shelvey. That midfield, yet again, somehow has no technical talent, enforcer, or deep lying playmaker. I mean its somewhat excusable now, it wasnt when Scholes Lampard Gerrard Beckham Hargreaves and even Carrick etc where in their day.

But hey Dele can run around with Dier and hoof it up to Kane. No worries as its won spuds many trophies last 3 years

Sessegnon has all the potential in the world, but he's a long distance from hitting it. Still has all the mistakes you'd expect of someone his age. Overall though he's exciting to watch and looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

Still needs 2 or 3 seasons with a team where he can develop though.

No idea who was picked over him since he's played both lb and lw this season.

any french guys able to clarify the payet case? i watched the EL final so i'm well aware that he was subbed out with an injury (he already had a minor injury before but understandably wanted to play), but i assumed it wasn't that bad. if it's the sole reason for him not being in the wc squad, however, he's obviously not eligible and i was wrong...
