decent match (at least until iniesta left the field and all the subs destroyed the flow a little), fair result, good chances for both teams (a couple more for germany but a win for either team would have been a bit lucky considering how relatively balanced the game was), tactically solid... wouldn't be surprised if both teams made deep runs into the tournament in russia. spain looked very mature and although you'd think their team has some apparent weaknesses (like the central defense being particularly susceptible to deep passes, a lack of proper wingers, no world class striker) those were barely noticable if at all.
and that's not just individual class, lopetegui seems to be a proper manager...
Well I didn't watch the game, but I agree that the team has massively improved under Lopetegui. The games in the qualifiers were a joy to watch... the team was almost always focused, even when we were up by 4-5 goals. We may not have the overall quality the individual world class players provided in the 2008-2012 period, but the team overall is very solid and works like a clock.
We are not favourites to win the WC, but I do think we have a very decent shot at it.
