I've seen that kid before on sports papers here. When he died he was also mentioned in the sports section on the national news on tv.

It's really easy to get informed about foreign football here. As long as you don't just browse the front page of MARCA's website or whatever, it's very easy to access info about anything else. It is true that the most basic and casual sports information is very hispanocentric for the most part, but anyone with a slight interest in the subject can very easily learn more about what happens abroad, in lower divisions, etc.
