Well, yes, Spain played better for the most part, but the last 20 minutes were pretty bad. That penalty by Ramos again...

We played Nacho when Alba was injured 20 minutes in. Nacho ffs. He's not bad, but if he wasn't playing for Madrid there's no way he'd be in the team. It annoys me that he gets called when there are far better options... but tbf I'm quite happy with Lopetegui in general. Most of his choices for the team are reasonable at the very least, and I like how he's giving players like Vitolo lots of playtime. I really rate Vitolo, so I'm happy to see him starting.

Played better? It was a boring, boring match. Spain had a sterile control the first 50 mins, nothing after. Italy a few chances (the offside goal), extremely shit construction.

Apart from the fact Costa deserved a red, Italy could have won it.

Ramos abyssimal again. When do they bench him, i wonder. Or move him to the target man position. Far better offensively than defensively these days.

Balotelli is in form, Belotti is promising, Insigne is a wildcard at this point that has not been attempted. Berardi (injured right now), has not yet been tested for the senior team.

Verratti with a slight knock and the team looks like crap without him in it. I'm also quite tired of this 3-5-2 business, but I believe it will persist until 2018 when key figures like Buffon, Barzagli and probably Chiellini are no longer in the fold
