There we go basically hit the jackpot with this one. This team would be incredible, the balance among them would be insanely good.

Sorry but I'm not going to show you the answer, I'll let you figure it out first.
Dro nailed it

Italian centre backs are unreal, hardly ever seen Hummels have a good game either. Plus, the chemistry between Ozil and Ronaldo would be insane, otherwise I might have included De Bruyne

Lewandowski
Ronaldo Ozil Bale
Modric Veratti
Alaba Chiellini Bonucci Clyne
De Gea

verratti is an interesting choice - not only because he missed half the season, including the cl quarter finals (so i wonder how you figured he'd be a good pick) - but especially because he didn't even make the italian squad (due to injury)...

can't disagree on chiellini / bonucci, they are obviously insanely strong centre backs. the reason i didn't include cronaldo in my 1st team is his terrible form atm, otherwise he'd obviously be in my starting XI...

Idk if you've seen me talk in another thread, where me and kbk talked about him being injured rofl. But he is a lot better than Kroos anyways.

and so the backpedaling begins... again... strange how you asked ex an hour ago: "you do realize he isn't in the team?"

no, what really happened here is that you might have said something stupid and deluded about verratti when the news hit (i very much doubt you ever saw him actually play a game) and someone else mentioned it - but you already forgot about it, that's how big of a "fan" you really are... and now you're trying to save face by making ridiculous excuses - like with your cb fail earlier... what a joke...

imo Matuidi is way more critical to P$Gs midfield than midget Verratti. Now that's not to say he isn't talented - he clearly is and is on his way to being the successor to Pirlo as the deep lying playmaker.

Its hard to say who will have the best midfield in the next 4-6 years, France and Italy have some real talents, along with Spain as always. I think Germany has a few upcoming as well no?

no, verratti is by no means a bad player. it's just a little cringeworthy when people who obviously never saw him play and don't follow him closely, overrate him like that purely based on the fact that he's italian.

concerning future midfield prospects there are a couple of really strong contenders. i would say france might have the absolute top prospect (in pogba) but spain has such incredible depth, so many players who could become the next big thing - which makes it basically inevitable some of the future midfield stars will be spanish. germany has imo a couple of more prospects than italy (not sure though since i don't follow serie a closely these days) but i wouldn't count the english or even the portuguese out either- and let's not forget the dutch...

really hard to tell for me but if i had to bet i'd say most likely are spain and france...
