Going to disagree with you here my good German friend.

Awful tackle but still a yellow and a very smart tackle - one pass and Atleti had a breakaway.

Clattenburg was consistent with his calls and didnt once fall for that thug Pepe's shit.

it was crucial for sure, still brutal cynical tackling from behind
last time i checked refs were supposed to give a red for this

of course the ref had no replay, in live action it was a yellow for me

even if that were true, which is not the case, so what?

its not like i am saying that this decision was game deciding or anything

world class ref who didn't manage to see the first goal was a clear offside :)

ah ok, so trying to break legs is ok as long as you are not the last man

you do realise that there is something called rough play that is punishable with a red card?

he didnt, he swiped his leg when it was coming up, it was a very intentional tackle but not to hurt him just to stop. And was executed well.

Like I said in the other topic, yellow was the correct call to make. HOWEVER red could have been an option aswell since there was no chance of getting the ball + potential to injury Carrasco.

Overall Clattenburg had an amazing game.
