i don't like berlin either. i know it's incredibly "hip" and there is a lot to see from a tourists point of view, but despite the insane efforts that have been put into making it a presentable capital in the last 25 years, it's still a very "ugly" city to me if you compare it to münchen or hamburg...
also, i'm not particularly fond of the people there in general. to me, most of them seem cold and unapproachable and i absolutely HATE the dialect.
btw, i've been to berlin countless times for about 20 years since i have relatives (an uncle and two cousins) there, so i'm speaking from experience. again, from a tourists point of view, especially one with some historical and cultural interest, it's absolutely fascinating - but don't expect anyone who isn't paid for it to be particularly friendly when they're sober...
