Don't be stupid, Ronaldo always has to be up there and Alves actually had a really good year.

I don't really agree on Alves tbh. He has been inconsistent, showing his best but also his worst. He did play well in the decisive weeks of last season and I'll give him that, but overalll he has been pretty mediocre imo.

This season I liked Sergi Roberto playing out of position over him for the RB position, and imo Aleix Vidal will probably take over the spot if he plays at his Sevilla level.

penaldo had a good year scoring vs rayo and malmö

anything but the MSN trio is a joke

Cristiano won the Golden Shoe and was also the CL's top scorer, I don't see the problem with him being there. Messi and Suárez are the only 2 that should be there no matter what imo, and having either Neymar or CR7 completing the trident is fine imo.

Well I compare this Alves with the last few seasons where he played worse imo and still got into the team of the year :p, also not many other rightbacks currently that are world class.. Lahm played dm/cm mostly if im not mistaken

De Bruyne deserved it over James. What a joke.

Absolutely. Ramos is a very questionable choice too.

That's true. I find it hard to select the defensive roles (keeper included) for this year, because overall impact players have had hasn't been that great in a season where offensive players have excelled.

Well, it's no surprise tbh. This was voted by fans on UEFA's website, so the most popular players/teams will make it regardless of wether there have been better players or not.

IMO the keeper should not be too hard. Pick the one that truely kept his team alive like for instance David de Gea. Without him United would ahve ended 10th maybe.
