and the fans were amazing too: they celebrated every block, every challenge, every clearance like a goal. i can't imagine german fans showing that kind of enthusiasm for such basic, and let's be honest here, ugly stuff. i wouldn't mind ireland actually qualifying directly but for that they'd have to win in poland which i just don't see happening given how limited their offense is...
