de gea got more money (likely), and a chance to play again. while united won't lose him with his contract running out and can basically set the price, if there isn't any buyout clause. in case de gea wants to leave again.
i am not buying that de gea loves united all of the sudden. he wanted to leave, tho lets wait what the future holds. unless woodward did throw ridiclous money into his contract extension, that not even real can match. that is not unlikely tho
wouldn't surprise me, if de gea / real rumors are heating up again next summer.
