this whole crap smells.
What does RM stand to gain in this saga.
- Show De god that they wanted him even if it costs 29m + keylor.
-Quite possibly to prevent de god from wondering whether RM should pay united a fee if they really value and wanted him so bad.
-This would in turn avoid pissing De god off for spending another year in england as de god could be swayed into signing a new 5 year contract with us.
-Purposely wait till the last day and screw up on purpose so they will get de god for free next year. They will also get his to sign a contract 6mths later in january.
What does Unitd stand to gain
- Nothing much other than having a World Class keeper to call on.
- Risk destroying squad harmony especially the spanish speaking ones by trolling De gea in this saga.
-Lose out on keylor and that 29m pounds.
Note: United also have the FA's backing regarding this but the same could not be said of RM.
- Real Madrid didn't upload David's documents to the Spanish league in time, per reports it seems some 28 minutes after the deadline. The fact that Manchester United filed the papers on time was acknowledged by the Football Association, who offered to support that claim in any discussions with FIFA. The club offered this assistance, as well as its own time-stamped documents to Real Madrid but they have chosen not to go down this route.
It really just seem that united have more to lose and would be stupid of woody if united were indeed the ones at fault which i highly doubt so.
as I said

Real were just courting him, putting their stamp on him for 1 years time so he leaves for free to Madrid.
