I would rather increase the spending of my firm than pay taxes. Buying any shit i need or don't need, those are all assets of the firm which drives its value higher, goal should be to put my profit towards 0%.

If i were to pick between bayern or barca way of managing, i would most def chose barca. Their debt are currently reduced, but as soon as they hit 0 they`ll sink into 4-500 debt again by building a new stadium. Having debt is not "shameful" but the smart way of growing. Nothing wrong with it as long as you can easily service it.

I remember me saying on here when abramovich took over 2 things : 1 that his spending is overall a smart move and that he is laundering money through chelski. Both are true today. He took a meh club to being one of the most recognized international brand within 10 years and that, regardless of the spending is a success story.

the disadvantage is that you actually have unknown parameters in there and are dependant on banks
i confess that clubs like barca and real will always have their income to pay up, but who knows......

its not like there is a big difference between real, barca or bayern wages, we could also buy players for 80mio and pay them 20mio a year
bayern is achieving that without debt and with smart management
we can all agree that this is>>>>

guys like abramovich should be arrested.....

btw you dodged my point with the spanish state, everybody knows that primera teams owe them billions

You call it smart, i don't

Take the Neymoore case. 65-75 mios spent, his wages are high-to-reasonable but by buying him Barcelona gets huge international exposure (especially brasil & south america). He's a god in Brasil, a prodigy worldwide.

The incomes generated through that channel (shirt selling/brand value/imaging rights/etc) clearly implies better functionality than having 100 mios in the bank.

Same was the story with Saurez and Cristian Penaldo.

There is no problem with the spanish state, i don't blame them for giving out functional (low interest rates) loans to clubs, i hate the fuckers for just giving those to Rael and not being at the very least transparent while doing it.

I consider state loans a good thing for both the club and the state. The fact that the state earns a bit lower(which is not necessarely the case here) is compensated indirectly by developping an area of land no1 would really give a shit about. (see the training grounds at both barca & rael).

Its better to tax 5% of 500 mios than to tax 50% out of 50 mios. Same goes for loans.

65-75 is a nice understatement and lets not forget that your former pres is facing criminal charges for that transfer

we arent into this kind of stuff sry bro
rather manage in the typical german way

and how about those other guys you tend to buy in south america?
thats a swamp of corruption right there in your club.....

I blame that on zubizareta. Its not a normal thing to happen and a stain on the club's prestige, all reports though price neymar transfer to 65-75 mios but even if they paid 100 mios for him i'd be happy with it.

Quote
The father of Neymar Jr., Neymar da Silva, has authorised the Club to lift the confidentiality clauses in his son’s contract and this Friday evening, the Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu, assisted by the Director of the Football Management Area, Raül Sanllehí, explained all the figures involved in the transfer: “we have not lied. Football games are won on the pitch, not behind closed doors in offices . We lost Di Stefano in an office, but we’ve not lost Neymar”, insisted the Club’s new President, adding: “when Barça wanted to sign Neymar, the representatives of all Europe’s top clubs were in Brazil trying to get his services for their teams”.

Sr Bartomeu revealed that Neymar’s father considered the recent reports about the signing were unjust and the President stressed the fact that his son had always preferred Barça, despite bigger offers from other clubs: “he preferred to come to Barça ahead of other European clubs who would have paid much more. Neymar Jr. believes in Barça’s values and also really wanted to play alongside Leo Messi”. Bartomeu and Sanllehí had thus decided to come forward with all the figures from the transfer to rebut the stories recently published in the Spanish press. The Club had also decided to reveal the player’s salary, though Sanllehí made it quite clear that: “we will not speak in public again about a player’s wages”.

Cost – 57.1 Million Euros

“We are very proud of the Neymar contract, but it seems like we are being asked to apologise for it. It was a very tough negotiation”, according to Raül Sanllehí, who personally headed the team which hammered out the deal. The Director of the Football Management Area said he very much regretted that the figures surrounding the transfer had been leaked, but again insisted that the global cost of the transfer was 57.1 million Euros, to which a bonus of 2 million Euros will be added if Neymar finishes in the top three of the Ballon D’Or.

As well as explaining again the figures paid to Santos – 17 million Euros – and the 40 million Euro compensation paid to N&N (Neymar da Silva and Nadine, the players parents), the Club also revealed the player’s salary. The total salary cost to the Club is 56.7 million Euros (gross), which is divided into three concepts: 2.7 million Euros as agent commission (5%, rather than the 10 or 15% paid by other clubs) , a 10 million Euro signing on fee and a guaranteed salary of 44 million Euros.

Transparent, but discreet dealings

FC Barcelona have also struck a number of agreements with organisations connected to the player, such as the Fundació Neymar Jr., a commercial agent to link Neymar’s image with the Club’s in Brazil, an agreement with Santos concerning academy players and with N&N, who will scout young talent at the Brazilian club.

Raül Sanllehí summed up the Club’s dealings in this matter by claiming: “transparency is very important, but transparency handled properly, because if you open the door too wide, it becomes indiscreet and that can work against the interests of the Club”.

Taken from barca official site. So as long as the contract was made public, the rumors were all bullshit

Even if that's all legit you can see why Santos are pissed. 17mill to them and 40mill to the parents.

Its the same shit with economic rights as in portugal. Complete bullshit, but the transfer fee was what barca reported, 57 mios.

Quote (The Guardian)
El Mundo's piece was written by Eduardo Inda, the former editor or Marca whose exposé forced the resignation of the former president Ramón Calderón and pathed the way for Pérez to return at Real. There was something a little convenient in their calculations reaching €95m and something more than a little forced in the declaration that Neymar was in fact the most expensive transfer in history, applying a broad definition of "transfer fee" which included agents' fees, signing-on bonuses and other payments not normally considered part of the transfer fee itself.

Quote (The Guardiaan)
The €17.1m was the money paid to Santos to sign Neymar, whose contract was due to expire in 2014 anyway. Of that money, Santos were due to receive 55%, while two other companies, SONDA and TEISA, would receive 40% and 5% respectively. Then there were other payments, which Barcelona have now outlined in the wake of Rosell's departure: a further €2m payable to Santos if Neymar made the Ballon d'Or podium, €2.6m in agent's commission, €10m signing on fee, €7.9m on a collaboration with Santos (an option on Santos players), €4m in marketing for Neymar's father in seeking out sponsors etc over five years, €2.5m to Neymar's charitable foundation and two friendlies which Barcelona say have a value of zero but El Mundo claimed were worth €9m. Then there's €44m in salary, at €8,8m a year – not an especially huge figure

Madrid based journalist claimed 95 mios, i'd be okay with that too.

Although i'm not a fan of paying those small 2-3 mio fees to several "dubious" entities, when signing a prodigy of neymar's calibre, you gotta close your eyes sometimes, because there are another 10 clubs at the door willing to chip in for what you try to argue.
