Lack of motivation from knowing they wouldn't win the league but also would not finish outside the top 4 option?
Except they can still finish outside top 4, if Liverpool get their act together.

Well, the management has been almost as terrible as the signings, but above that I think the main problem is that nobody seems to really care.

The players look like they have zero motivation.

The manager makes it look like it's not that big a deal.

And the majority of fans still seem to have a small club mentality. I've seen interviews of fans outside the stadium and they're like "oh well, we're Man City, we should be happy that we get to see our club in european competitions". Throughout their lives they've seen City play many seasons in the second or third level, and they still view their club as a small one dispite the millions they've spent. It's like when a big chunk of the fans were outraged that Mancini was sacked... to them it didn't matter if the team was completely underperforming after spending all that money, because he had still managed to win a league with a club that had traditionally been a small one.

Having more young players could boost this imo. They need someone like we have with Bellerin, Chambers etc

This is exactly how i feel.

No one seems to be giving a shit, City with the money they have spent should be a top 3 club in the world. Should be challenging for the title, top 4 shouldnt even be a goal, finishing 4th would be a disgrace to me.

I'm excited for the summer because I know for a fact we're in for one of the most drastic changes we've seen here.
