the problem here isn't that other guys wouldn't have the money to bribe their way into becoming fifa president was it a level playing field, or the support of the important and incorrupt football associations...
the problem is blatter's long lasting relationship with many of those minor federations and his history of bribing everyone and their dog there, there are still promises from both sides to be kept...
i'm convinced that if blatter doesn't die, step down (which won't happen) or gets arrested for corruption, there is actually no way we will have a new fifa president.
unfortunately we're at a point, and this thread shows it, where we don't even discuss the ideas and advantages of one candidate or the other - this whole thing is so corrupt, messed up and ridiculous...
the worst part really is that EVERYBODY knows it but still nothing can be done about it. what a complete joke fifa has become...
The only thing that can get Blatter out of office is the FBI investigation about him and the FIFA bribing everyone (I think it was about bribery). Michael van Praag who is in every way a better candidate wasn't even allowed to speak at the CAF congress yesterday. Also Blatter not willing to debate with his opponents and getting away with it just shows how ridiculous this is. It wouldn't even surprise me, that when someone else actually is winning he will be shot.
