just by this quote i can tell you play in a proper team and for quite some time as well i'd guess.
it's something i've noticed a lot: most people who play 11 v 11 in an organised team in a proper league on a regular basis just end up loving it eventually, even if there's a lot of grinding and running involved early on.
but when a team comes together, when everyone has their task, plays to their strengths and ends up contributing - there's no greater feeling than that. a real team effort as it's supposed to be imo.
doesn't mean 5v5 or 6v6 on a small field can't be fun. it's great to dribble and score and try out some fancy stuff you wouldn't dare in a league game but imo it doesn't quite compare to a real football match...
There is no better feeling than having 10 other people on the field that you play for. Love playing a compact defense and working together. Its the whole reason I've loved football since the beginning. The fluidity of play in a 11v11 game is so sexual to be a part of. Especially whenever you play for a team who plays for each other and understands where to be to compensate other players. Seriously, i love it. I love making runs to open up space for my teammates to run into. Just feels good
I agree completely about the small sided. Defenders tend to not play as aggressive on the forwards allowing myself to turn more often, therefore much better for me to work on my 1v1 skills.
