On a serious note, imo the nations with shitloads of players in big leagues should fuck all the adjustments for domestic seasons, keep everything as it is and simply send their u-17 or even u-16 teams to compete there. Then we would see how they try shit like that again
They leagues/clubs can't retain their players. It's up to the FA's and we know they won't do shit unfortunately.

It depends on the leagues, I guess. I hear that some leagues are considering going for a shorthened format (one normal round, plus half a second round... like lets say 19 games + a second round with 9 games against the top or bottom half placed teams at the end of the first round), some will go for a 2 group format followed by a playoff round of some sort that will allow the league to save up games, some leagues might push some games to what would be their winter/summer break, etc.
