We didn't have an sponsor on our t-shirt until Laporta came in 2003.

Then, we started to wear "UNICEF" in the t-shirt, but after the new president, we started with Qatar.

That's why we were more than a club, for that and for a lot of things.

Can you see any sponsor here? it was just 8 years ago. ;)

If you're going to construct an argument that the absence of a sponsor gave some kind of significant weight to your clubs stature, unfortunately you must accept that it was lost the day thatched sponsor went on

I guess he is trying to suggest that they didn't previously maximise revenue streams, so at best his argument could be that until 2003 (definitely 8 years ago) they weren't a business

My workplace doesn't have a sponsor. Does that mean my workplace isn't a business?

I don't know where you work so can't really say

Id guess no one would want to sponsor your workplace, and if they would, then they maybe should look at getting one if the revenue stream is anywhere near as meaningful as a shirt sponsorship deal

No need to talk with a soccer fan that supports a sheikh team.
