what happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? One can have 50 trials pending and could still be not guilty.

If he is guilty, he'll either have to pay a fine (which should not be FA business) or go to jail (which would prevent him from doing shit at the club).

The way I've been following went:

Appealed and was told he could purchase.
Further evidence arose which meant he should leave.
