I think it would be better if he stayed, but I wouldn't call it a mistake if there's indeed a 153M€ bid for him.

It all just sounds like bs to me, it's the same crap during every winter break, there's no football so the press has to create transfer rumours to sell papers.

I would have thought that too, but the rumours came back today after Van Gaal was asked about Bale and he said that he "doesn't discuss transfers with the press, only the club". It makes sense that he could make a bid for Bale in the summer.

When will people learn that Real Madrid selling players is actually almost never a mistake?

"Zomg Real Madrid are doomed with Özil!" - Di Maria steps up and becomes better than ever
"Zomg Real Madrid are doomed without Xabi" - Kroos fills his role perfectly
"Zomg Real Madrid are doomed without Di Maria" - Real Madrid plays better than ever
"Zomg Real Madrid are doomed without Bale"

Only thing that will happen is some one like Isco. James or Jese will step up and become world class.

Edit: In fact Isco already is world class. He's not had much play time but after Bale And now Modric's injuries he's done nothing but play amazing football.

And no guys I'm not saying we don't need Bale, but selling him will NOT be the end of the world. And if we do sell him, we'll get more than enough cash to buy some one like Reus or Hazard or whoever.

I know what you mean, but Bale is a different type of player to James or Isco. A powerful big game player - the only other players in the team like that are Ronaldo and maybe Ramos.

Also, let's not pretend that Reus or Hazard are as good as Bale. Hazard has always been overrated, whereas Reus has had lots of injuries. Maybe he will never hit world class form again

No need for Bale at United imo.

Reus would be perfect for Real Madrid imo.

When he's fit, he's one of the best players in the world = Real worthy of course

When he's injured, no problem, players like Jese, Isco and James will be there.

What's a waste? Reus might be pretty cheap since

A) Its Dortmund

B ) He'll probably want to leave

C ) he's injury prone

currently I think its a crime that Isco doesn't get 100% play time, but what can you do when you have James, Bale and Ronaldo in the same team..

But don't get me wrong I want to keep Bale, I am after all hoping he'll be the next Ronaldo (technically he's way too old for that, the next Ronaldo and next Messi are two 17-20 years playing out there, somewhere..)

I always refrained from calling out your dim witted posts on this subforum unlike other users, because I would feel harsh picking on a dumb kid.

Ronaldo is undoubtedly a big game player: Euro 2012 vs Netherlands and Czech Republic. Qualifying for the world cup vs Sweden, 4 goals in the play off matches. Copa del rey final 2011 header to win it. 13 goals in 21 games vs Barca. 50 goals in 51 games in the champions league, dominated Bayern, Man Utd, etc. I'm sure zark can contribute more, I'm no expert...

Now for Hazard...
2012/13 season: 62 apps, 13 goals, 24 assists.
2013/14 season: 49 apps, 17 goals, 10 assists.
+ pretty much chokes in every big game for club and country.

Bale:
2012/13 season: 44 apps, 26 goals, 15 assists.
2013/14 season: 44 apps, 22 goals, 19 assists.

I would rather have hazard than bale. I'm sure most would
Have you not seen him play? It's so nice to watch. Him and bale are different players, hazard looks to pass a lot more than bale did at Spurs
Bale took many more shots
