No. Even when they host it in southern hemisphere countries (where it's winter during our summer), they still hold the event in january.

This year Australia is hosting the Asian Cup in january, which is their summer.

And in most northern african and middle eastern countries, games are perfectly playable in june as long as they are played at night time.
