no one says "die mannschaft" in germany. that just translates to "the team".
we say "die nationalmannschaft" or "die nationalelf" or "die dfb elf" or "das nationalteam".

no offense, just thought i let you know because i've read "die mannschaft" quite frequently the last couple of months...
