i believe location plays a part.
take arsenal, chelski and spurs. london is one of the most expensive cities to live in. so naturally their prices are higher. tho i must say, arsenal is ripping their own fans.

They could have larger stadia while keep high attendances by reducing the prices.

If you look at Bundesliga's stadia, they all have at least 30k capacity and it's not just the top tier teams that have really big ones. Teams like Eintracht, Köln, Hannover, etc all have larger stadia than almost every team in the premier league.

Why do you insist on using names like shitty chelski etc, you act like you're being original, but it just comes off as you're a 12 year old boy.

I just checked wikipedia and the german teams I listed all have larger stadia than 17/20 premier league clubs (and there are obviously other german clubs with even larger stadia):

Wtf? How come City, Chelsea and Liverpool all have less than 50K spots? All three of them are among the biggest and richest clubs in the world, I thought they were 60-80K range O.o

But I suppose these big clubs don't make THAT much money on tickets, do they?

any one have % on income from TV rights, commericals, ticket sales, sponsors etc? I'd guess < 10% for tickets

Don't the german stadiums have standing spots though? Which greatly increases capacity?

All the English one's are all seaters. Which could be why the germans all seem bigger.

Just a possibility.

There was talk of testing standing areas in English football a while back, I for one would love to see this happen.

EDIT: Found this on the BvB wiki "and 65,829 seated spectators for international games" so they have 15,000 standing, damn, i bet it gets crazy in there lol

Never say never. 1 mistake shouldn't hold everyone back forever.

And if the standing areas are designed correctly, instead of trying to pen everyone into a small space like sheep, I can't see it being a problem.
