soccer seems like a sport you would be able to use cameras directly above the goal line.

You can't tell from just that angle. If goal line technology says it wasn't in then it most likely wasn't in.

But obviously, goal line technology, disipite being very accurate, isn't perfect... that's why it's up to the ref to make the final call.

Yeah I agree with you on that it's hard to tell, but the moment that the goal line technology picked it up yesterday was at the wrong time, that's whats bothering me.

if i remember correctly there was something similar at the world cup as well, where they showed strange pictures from the goal line technology that didnt make sense
nothing important, but it was kinda strange

i wouldnt worry too much about that, because i think it was not fully over the line tbh and these pictures need not necessarily be correct in order for the technology to work
its just for the visitors

I've seen this pic going all over the internet, many ppl think its a goal.
The goalline technology program however showed when the ball didn't even touch the ground, making it uncertain if it passed or not.

What do you guys think? Is it just me being a little biased thinking its a goal for Arsenal, or do I have a point here?

i agree it did roll up pass the line on the game
the announcers even said how the goal line shows it only got as far as when the keeper got his first hand to it than stopped working i think.

Looking at that Vine posted above, it may have actually posted the correct time. I thought it was closer watching it in real time but that angle seems to suggest otherwise

Yeah different angles make it hard to judge tbh.

hard to tell. just because we see the line doesn't mean it was in.

this one looks in, right?

but actually it's not. same situation, different angle:

I'm definatly not saying it was in for sure, but I was trying to point out at the moment the goal line program showed, the ball wasn't fully near the furthest distance yet. Can't find a pic of it tho..
