well, real barca bayern chelsea are the teams that have dominated the "cl semifinals appearance" for the past years.

you have to go back to 2007 to find a cl season in which less than 50% of the semifinal spots were occupied by those four teams.

by contrast, city has in its whole history never reached a cl quarter final.
