it would obviously improve the squad by quite a bit (in fact, bale would improve almost every national team imo) but that would still be not enough to raise them to a realistically title winning team imo...

that being said, it's all just purely hypothetical anyway since the development in great britain is heading into the opposite direction (scotland's independence referendum anyone?!)...

Actually our Olympic team is team GB so for football it isn't impossible. The referendum in Scotland is not relevant as Wales want to be part of the UK, and Wales have the good players, Scotland has Charlie Adam...

This, but without the horrible defence. Curtis Davies and Jones as centre backs could work...maybe Calum Chambers in there somewhere. That would bag a 2nd world cup ez

Rooney as #10 is fail.
Sterling sturridge is fail.
Barkley as pivot = fail
walker = :rofl:
Williams = :lol:
Shaw had just 1 good season with a very mediocre team. Still you`re making him first starter.

I would suggest picking golf for a sport from now on.

yeah sure, they LOVE to be part of the uk, they adore being called a sheep shagging hill tribe and would absolutely want to help your national team win something...
i mean, how naive can you be? they're in it because they think it benefits them but they hate you with a passion, like all of your neighbours actually...

WTF, stop acting like you know anything about the UK. You are from Germany and making idiotic assumptions, what sources do you have that say they hate us with a passion? Compared to me who lives here and know dozens of Welsh people through uni and general conversation. They would be helping us win something, and we would be helping them win something, fair deal if you ask me.

We did witness it in the London Olympics and still did not do much but of course it would improve the national team strength.

you know it doesn't help your case when you present such obvious lies as "knowing people through uni"...

and yeah, of course, if a civilised welshman and a civilised englishman WERE to talk to each other, they would tell each other the polite lie seeing as there is no danger of it actually happening.
but being so naive and believing it... believing they (not each individual obviously but in general) don't celebrate each and every one of your frequent fails in football... that's a whole new level, congratulations. blissful ignorance, right?

how is that a lie? if you knew anything about the uk education system you'd know that Welsh people go to English universities mainly.
