With neymar and silva, there would be no 7-1

Brasil looked decent overall, except the front. Fred and Jo should both quit football.

Below decent I'd say. Yes, they finished 4th but they showed only little sign of life.

Neymar is solid, so is Silva but the level of talent is nowhere close the golden Brazilian generation.

I've been saying it for a long time, this is the worst Brazil ever along with the one in 1994. The one in 1994 only won it out of sheer luck and was by far the worst WC champion I've ever seen.

This team just did't have that much luck (and faced a proper opponent in semis... not Sweden), and unlike the one in 1994, had pressure on themselves due to the fact they were hosts.

conceding more than 12 goals over 7 games isn't good, but it's not really laughable

Brazil had a strong team 1998-2006.
If the ref didn't they Mexico 2 goals against Cameroon they would be out in best of 16 already because they had to play against NL.

Overall quality isn't even worth the Quarterfinals. Almost every other Quarterfinalparticipant played much better than Brazil, and several best of 16 also played better.

I bet most players will retire from the nationalteam because of the 1:10 stigma.

They had better recruited Ronaldinho and other veterans. They are over 30 but they certainly wouldn't have failed that bad.

the biggest national disgrace?

They made whole generation of Brazilians who played in the past look bad...

Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Cafu, Dida, Edmilson, Kleberson, Carlos, etc. must be face palming all the time...

I honestly dont think this current generation is that terrible to tell you the truth. The players are not that great, but arent terrible either. Look at the 2002 generation, wasnt all that great(Rivaldo and Ronaldo stand out and thats it), likewise the 1994 generation was also pretty average with the exception of a few great players(Romario, Bebeto, Leonardo). Still they managed to win the WC.

Then you look back at the 1982 generation, considered by many people the best brazilian squad to ever play the game, the most talented brazilian team for sure, even more than the 1970 team imo. Got knocked out by Italy in the quarter finals.

I blame the management for their humiliating failure. There was basically no preparation, no tactics, no strategy. Then Germany exposes all of their weaknesses in 30 minutes, specially their defensive awareness and positioning which was non existent hahhaha.
