Maybe so, but you cannot deny that Britain is the most relevant nation of all time. No nation/empire has had the military power, influence, productivity etc of the British Empire. the U.S. might be a superpower today, China the superpower of the future and Spain was in the 1500s, but at the British peak they were a sole hegemony, not a superpower - but a hyperpower.
