özil most certainly lost his touch, that's true. he tried some passes, they went directly to the opponent and then he didn't have the balls to try it again, missing many opportunities to create potentially dangerous situations. but then again, he's not a winger ffs. why would you play özil as winger? he's not good at that, we all know it.
and unlike götze he at least tried to make something happen. götzes evening: get the ball on the wing, try fancy dribbling, lose ball, watch algeria play a counter attack...

kroos was also not at his best tonight. and you know i'm a huge fan of this guy. but then again, he was robbed of his pass receivers on the wings. no fullbacks to play the ball to, no real wingers to challenge a defender try a cross (not that we had a striker to target with a cross in the first place)...

damn... there is so much wrong with this team... tonight we would have lost against any half decent team in the world to be honest and i am really sad we did not...

you are right about özils positioning, but stilll...its a joke
and kroos was robbed of his pass receivers, also true

thats one thing much better at bayern
theres always a player on each flank to receive a long ball

our game is too narrow
only player moving upfront is müller
rest is watching

no we would not. even a good coach can't prevent injured players like gündogan, reus and gomez. even a good coach needs some luck to win such a trophy even with the players we have.
but at least we would have a higher chance performing to our potential and not putting up performances like this... pathetic, really...

You Germans are a very interesting group.
Hard working and most seem to be made of steel, but its like you all de-evolve into knuckledraggers who want outright anarchy when it comes to football

well, i have to admit there are always these people who "always knew that was the wrong thing to do" (especially after the game) and "would easily do a better job than the coach"... we do have a lot of them and always did.
but then again, there are somer REAL and MAJOR issues with löw and people (fans and a growing number of experts and analysts) have been pointing them out and complaining about for years now. and although i'm well aware that you just love the chance to take a dig at germans in general you'll have to admit it's pretty obvious, at least to a football fan, right?

seriously, how can ANYONE who's not completely mentally retarded not see what a pathetic excuse of a coach löw is?

That's why he got fired after 1 month as club coach.

Klinsmann sucks. Remember when he got fired because the strongest German club played like a 2nd rate club.

2006 lucky win against Argentinia.

Heynkes would win the WC and EC till he retires.

Loew is just as clueless like former Coach Ribbeck but he got a much stronger team.

Hell who the hell nominates only 1 striker and the striker is already 36!

2 Players injured and Germany is as strong as Finnland.

I agree, he's playing way to many players out of position. Could be a reason why Özil isn't performing, since he needs a solid team next to him that performs aswell.
Mustafi had a terrible wc so far, and I'm not confident about Howedes either. If you look at the half time stats, you saw that MERTESACKER had the most ball possesion and had to do the most passes.
So Löw is relying on MERTESACKER to make the play? Absolutely unbelievable.

Has Germany ever considered playing in a 3-5-2 esque formation? Use Lahm as a sort of RWB, Boateng and hummels left and right centrebacks with Per in the middle, Durm perhaps as lwb?
