So It's always good to give these teams a chance at competing, while nowadays football is leaning towards who has the most money, there have been cases like Valencia who manage to make it to finals before, or even in Premier League where Leicester City managed to Win the league even though teams like City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, and now New Castle have FAR more advantage.

By that logic, my local pub team should be able to play in the champions league. Who knows, they might just win it!

Champions league should be for league champions. Best of the rest should play a separate tournament.

This current format is the "super league", with extra steps.

It's exactly why the Super League was not wanted by many clubs, no point if NOT everyone has a chance to participate.

Agreed. This format is a dream for teams like Sparta, Bratislava, etc.

I also like this format to be honest, this year we will see more games between the top tier teams in Groups (Normally with the old format you saw 1-2 Teams from the Top Tier League face each other in Groups) and it was RARE to see 3-4 Top Tier Teams face each other in groups. I believe the only exception last year was the Group where Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, PSG and New Castle end it in the same group (VERY RARE) and it was actually nice watching groups.

I would like to see how the table ends, and which team is going to surprise us this year.

So far the best game has been the AC Milan vs Liverpool, I watched the Manchester City vs Inter but I felt like even though Manchester City played well, Inter could have taken the win if they didnt miss the chances they had.

I feel bad for Girona losing in the LAST minute because of a Goal Keeper Error..
