great leader, great career, great character - but yes, it's time for him to retire. a shame how he's being treated in manchester though, wish him all the best...

The whole WC 2006 squad is gone now.. Lahm, klose, poldi, schweinsteiger..
I'm really sad right now, those were the players I grew up with :cry:

really brought a tear to the eye, an era has ended tonight

our german warrior and world cup final hero, nobody has battled as hard as he has for team and country :hail:

Was really surprised by Mesut Özil when he said " He did so much for HIS country". I think it should be " for OUR country"...
