So I've never had much exposure to the bundesliga over the years I've watched football, but fox, a main channel here in the U.S. picked up broadcast rights to this league this season due to them losing the EPL last season. (those rights went to NBC).
But the Bundesliga is definitely a fun league to watch. Currently watching Wolfsburg v. Shalke and my God does this Wolfsburg team look decent. Has me a bit worried for the champions league ties vs them.
Also, love the atmosphere here as well. Much better than the farmers in Spain or the empty stadiums in the serie A.
just watched the match too. glad you liked it (although it's obviously not as attractive for foreigners as the epl due to a lack of big names, no doubt about that). but yeah, from a tactical and physical perspective it's certainly a good league to watch with many offensive minded teams.
concerning wolfsburg's cl prospects - i wouldn't worry about them too much. they lack the experience at that level and are only half the team they were last year with de bruyne gone - you pretty much just have to cover their set pieces well. their strikers (dost & bendtner) are also rather one dimensional and not really the biggest threat if marked well.
what i like are their full backs rodriguez and vieirinha - imo the best pairing in the bundesliga (although träsch played rb today and might do so in the future so vieirinha can play a more offensive role again)...
