which i think was when the english had scholesly, lampard and becks. dont remember if it was sven or or that taylor guy or was it mr brolly that put scholesly on the left wing and it ended a disaster
basically killed the most talented midfielder by playing him elsewhere

It was quite amazing back then, on paper. Having a trio of Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes was wonderful to see, but it didnt work out..

Back then Brazil, France, Italy and probably Portgual had a significantly better midfield...
