It's not because they went to Cristiano's birthday party after losing 4-0, it's because they went to his birthday party while being injured.

However, afaik, there hasn't been any official statement from the club saying they are being fined. This report came out 2 days ago, but yesterday other reports came out saying that someone from the club's board had told the press that there wasn't going to be a fine and it had all just come down to meeting with the players... so idk what happened at the end.
