Ex palace player, joining a club with similar quality, fewer expectations. Don't see why he would stay at Newcastle given the choice

Imo Newcastle has the better players
But the fact he used to play there and double wages I guess I would go too

he was so close to being sacked and he would have been if he had stayed.

Very strange move indeed ... Newcastle are a much much bigger club than palace, better squad , stadium twice as big etc etc

Not to mention palace are in the bottom 3, and are the type of club who will rarely survives 2 years in the epl before going back down

I wouldnt be surprised if he is sacked within 18 months, on a side note frank de boer from ajax is favourite for the newcastle job

There is that self inflated view that most Newcastle fans share
