Sturridge is injured for 3 weeks or more because he trained on the 2nd day after the international friendly vs Norway. Rodgers would have rested him for 2 days after a match because he is a fast dynamic player (same with Sterling).

Hodgson is annoying, not only in his archaic formations and style, but his ignorance of modern player training methods. Even Henderson got injured, who is one of the most injury free players of all time.

Can we all agree Welbeck > Sturridge?

Sturridge got 36 goals in 50 games for Liverpool, broke the club record for quickest 50 goals in the last 100 years at the club.

I'm sure if Welbeck had a run of games as a striker then he would impress, but I doubt he would ever be that prolific in front of goal. He just isn't enough of a poacher. Kinda irelevant to the topic anyway
