and then retiring anyway

he should of just retired after the tb sb, winning one after splitting from belichick would of been the perfect way to go out

Why not? He loves the game and was still able to play. He added 9,000 yards and 68 TD's over the past 2 seasons.

Genuine love of the game?

Money?

Potentially winning another sb?

Break more records and solidify the records that he holds so it'll be harder for others to break them?

Maybe the NFL script told him that he needs to play one more year? ( :o )

Seems like those are some valid reasons.

Shiet, I’d play until they stopped offering me contracts if I was Brady. I’d be a skeleton on the bench as a #2/3 string backup if I loved the game like he does

We were on track for another SB when the rams won - we were a heavy favourite and justifiably so.

This year, train wreck and it started on offense.

Anyone who says he was washed or had lost it clearly didn't watch him play this year.

if offensive line stayed healthy, and defense, they still had a shot at superbowl again, just too much went wrong, he wasnt Great, but still good enough to get it done.. and im sure his marriage was already done, so get away from all that.
probably already got his script for next year and seen it wasnt a superbowl, so go ahead and call it a career

He broke his own record for completions this year.
He lost his wife though, was it really worth it?
I guess he's making more money from his Fox deal, but what's money if you can't keep your family together?
