Every 12 man fantasy football league was in championship week this weekend. I am the commissioner of a 12-man league and the 2 finalists had Higgins vs Singletary left. The team that had Higgins was only up by 5 pts to start the game.

If fantasy football ends up canceling those players, I just don't think I can declare a champion here and possibly a split for 1st place. Team with Singletary has already pleaded his case saying this is not over and it should be a split prize if it is over. I need some input on this as neither player was guaranteed to win this match even though the team with Higgins was favored to win

Both have to agree to a split, or like a 60/40 ish split if you don't want to have any issues
Otherwise, I'd have the FF site decide it.

The 4 involved in the league that I'm commish discussed it before & during the cancelation. The finals people couldn't come to a decision so they will ride it out whatever happens. (Guy needed 14pts from Burrow to win, he rejected the split, backfired as of rn). 3rd play agreed on the split before the cancelation (Mixon +10pts vs Allen)


That's what I'd do if I were you, try to come up with a split agreement with the two.

This is what I offered as suggestions before the cancellation was confirmed:

"I will be doing whatever our NFL FF site does as their results as the default option.
-If the game gets canceled/forfeited, Zach would win
-If the game gets played, chances are that Brenden wins, he'd only need like 7pts from Burrow or so + they were driving
I'm assuming if there's no game then the current points would be as it was before it got stopped

If yall can't come up with an agreement before the NFL decides what they're going to do, that's what we will do.



#1: No agreement, do whatever NFL FF site does

#2: 50/50 payout split, no official winner or loser

#3: Redo the match up week 18, I would manually add up the points
-Defenses would be by Fanduel scoring (No return yds n stuff)
-Also see Trophy Option #3 below

#4: Offer up a suggestion for the opponent







Trophy options:
#1: No agreement, do whatever NFL FF site does

#2: Both would have T-1st on it

#3: From above. Week 18 redo for 1st/2nd names on the trophy, while agreeing to a 50/50 payout split.

#4: Do a pick-em of spreads for every game to decide who's 1st place on the trophy

#5: Offer up a suggestion for the opponent


My honest recommendation would be to split 50/50, it's a win win, and have week 18 as the deciding factor of who's 1st/2nd on the trophy.

Guy I was fighting for 3rd agreed to split with me (I had full leverage so I hooked him up lol, didn't feel right winning like that though I still had the edge if the game continued, + it would be a bad look as the commish)

Either

Prize is split evenly

Or

Wait for game to be finished.. it will be after week 18

Average out the players last 3 games and award them that many points. That’ll decide the winner.

I think split is the only option tbh unless it was a lopsided score

I am in similar situations in both my finals, and I basically agreed to split if there is no resolve to the game. I was up 28 in 1 league with j.chase left and he has Burrow, I should win but one never knows. In the other I'm down 49 with Allen, Higgins, McPherson left to go and have a legitimate chance to win that as well. Again, I said I would be ok with a split.

Split is the only way to go if there is a chance either team could win.

I like how my commish did it.
Just use your players week 18 score and add it to your score manually.

In my league, the 1st and 2nd place decided to split and the 3rd and 4th decided to donate the winnings to Damar's charity gofundme.

What if they rest your player for wk 18 but he played wk 17, can you sub? What if you had Hurts or Henry and they are back for wk 18, could you use them? Too many factors that for my liking. For instance I started minshew because hurts was out, and wk 18 hurts will probably play and minshew will sit.
