I just don't get your basis for your argument at all. GB had 2 receivers with 1k yards. One with over 1250 yet you expect Cobb to have 1k as well and since he only had 600 he's declining? Look past the stats and see that he still was 2nd on the team in YAC and was instrumental on closing out games by converting on crucial downs.

How old was jennings when they cut him?? How about james jones??? I geuss its possible they retain cobb but itll be time to pay adams and tymont by then. And yes i also understand that numbers dont equate directly to skill because teams with more options spread the ball out more.

Jennings and Jones were both FAs, neither was cut. Both were decisions due to cost, not age. Jennings had an injury history and wasn't worth the 50m the Vikings paid him, hence them cutting him a couple seasons later and his wanting to return to GB when he realized what he was missing. After Jones flaked out with the Raiders and Chargers, he came back on cheap deals and was only let go again at 32.
