I just mean they went 12-4 using that mold of just pounding the football with Demarco and the defense has gotten better since Demarco left.

Taking as much stress off Romo this late in his career was prolly the cowboys #1 priority.

RBs don't win multiple games in the NFL.

Romo is all but done. As much as Cowboy fans want to hold onto the Romo hype, their best hope was either Wentz, or Goff falling to them at #4.

Cowboy fans better hope that they can strike gold with a mid round QB, otherwise they're stuck being mediocre. Not good enough to go anywhere in the playoffs (if they luck themselves into them), and not terrible enough to draft high enough for another top QB prospect.

I don't agree, Ill point towards the Vikings getting AD back, Time of possession improved/Defense improved with AD back.

I think both work hand in hand.

That's great and all, but Elliott is not AD and the Viking's Defense shits all over the Cowboy's Defense... and then some.

The Rams went real far with Gurley and their Defense this past season huh? Both of which are better than the Cowboy's.

So lets add Elliott onto the Cowboys team. Great, but their Defense is still terrible, unlike the Vikings or Rams.

Zeke is regarded as a AD type, so it's not that crazy lol

The Rams defense wasn't as good as you might think...Pretty close to the Cowboys shitty defense. (#16 in PPG for Cowboys)/#13 in PPG for Rams)

Cowboys offense > Rams not even a discussion.

All I am saying is adding a good RB benefits your defense (You mentioned the Rams, guess what their defense got better this year with a better running game/As did the Vikings)

Quote
1. Dallas Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State (No. 4 pick)

Of the 31 players drafted on Thursday, Elliott has a chance to make the biggest impact. A Day 1 starter and a true three-down back, Elliott is the best blocking RB I've ever studied. That should help keep QB Tony Romo upright after he broke his collarbone twice last season. Remember: The Cowboys went 12-4 in 2014 relying on a dominant run game and an elite offensive line to take pressure off Romo. Elliott has the skill set to help Dallas return to that form.

Thankfully I am not the only one who thinks this, it's not that hard to see.

Are you....jags wouldn't have touched Zeke at 5.

In fact no other team would have drafted him til Miami at 13. Dallas reached hard AF quit trying to justify it. This is coming from an Osu Fan by the way

This was a weak quarterback class, every single one of the top ones would have been 2nd tier prospects last year. Its absolutely hilarious how much the Rams and the Eagles gave up to move up, I can't be too harsh on the Broncos, they didn't give up a terrible amount to get Paxton who probably has the most upside to everybody else in this class. Next year's draft is supposedly going to have far more talent at the quarterback position. I'll be fine with taking Cook/Hackenberg/Prescott in the third and seeing if he develops into a starter. If not no big deal just make a move next year or whenever. Romo still drives this offense and what they did by drafting zeke is going to help keep him healthy and should improve the defense by keeping them off the field.
