I would say yes. It would depend on whether I really felt like my life was in danger, which I would guess it would be during an armed home invasion.

Anybody that I know who's been a dealer or banger and has had their house jumped has told me you shoot to kill, because you won't get another shot. I'd like to avoid all of it, personally.

Boredem. Wondering if there are people that would say they'd shoot to wound and why they'd rather go with that action. I agree with the people saying you won't get another shot. They have a gun, if they can still use it and aim you can bet your ass they won't shoot to wound.

Next time some weirdo comes to my door I'm grabbing my phone and gun on the way to the door, locking the door, pre-dialing 911, and aiming the gun at the door until he leaves.

This is exactly what prompted me to get a handgun earlier this month.

I guess if they somehow fend off our doberman, survive several gunshots, and incapacitate me that is a possibility.

A stick in your spokes might do the trick as well

And in an adrenaline filled moment, you could take half a dozen bullets to perimeter body parts and not even slow down. If you haven't been shot in significant areas of the brain or spine, you would be amazed at what you can just shrug off in a shootout.

One of the OG's I know once told me a story about a time three or four guys busted in his house while he was asleep. They were armed, but I get the feeling it was a personal thing so they ended up just butt whipping him with their firearms. He rolled off the couch he was sleeping on and grabbed his Mausberg from under the coach (meth dealers are paranoid), and blew a hole in his wall about as wide as a dinner plate. Shotguns scare people, and fear is a more valuable weapon than a pistol in some situations.

They ran off after that. From what I understand he figured out what it was about and took compensatory action. I didn't ask him what that was, but I'd guess it wasn't pleasant.

I don't kill but I shoot them. If you break into my house and are threatening me or trying to steal my belongings... I'm going to stop you.

Kind of a dangerous approach IMO. Like I said, people can shake off quite a few bullet wounds if they're jacked enough to think they're life is in legitimate danger. Most people doing home invasions/stick ups want nothing to do with a firefight, but they'll do it if they have too.

I would feel sick for shooting another human being dead, but I think it's more on him than me at that point.
