Backs with better vision are typically preferred. Guys like our fullback can run in traffic clearly. Guy without vision can't be playmakers plain and simple. I'm not saying Starks is great, I'm just saying lacy is not much better. Should've tried to get Forte or somebody with that better vision.

The difference is that Starks' vision relies on the defense making mistakes. It's been a long time since he was able to make people miss on his own.

I guess I just mean big explosion plays rather than picking up the first down. But obviously starks was getting old. There's no doubt Lacy has looked better this season. I just think a Matt forte type runner would do better. Maybe I'm wrong and I certainly hope so and Lacy can continue (whenever he is back) the pace he started this season.

West coast offense is all about moving the chains and making difficult matchups for the defense. The only argument i can see with Forte is the receiving threat and the resurgence of the screen game in GB. Hasnt been a thing since Ahman Green really.
