I would love to see progress and a much better record next season, but have you guys seen the schedule? its going to be really tough to get to where we want to be starting out with next years opponents! We got a couple really tough divisions to play against! We got 6 playoff teams from this year on our schedule, 3 in our own division although i still cant think of SD as a playoff team lol, although you could put AZ in the chargers spot. Going to be a tough year to have a nice record so i hope EVERYTHING isnt judged on our W/L record and more focus on how tough we played every game and how close they are. I mean just looking at the schedule right now its easy to count 10+ losses right now. If we go 6-10 and our 10 losses are all lets say 7-10 pt games or less would you think of it different to them all being 20+ pt losses? If they are all close tough games I would be open to talking about keeping Allen 1 more year after. Also its not all the coaches faults, the players need to be in the right position every play and make the tackles and plays on the field. We need more talent to do that also so lets hope we have a good draft and get some good veteran players in FA this year. We also have some FA's that we need to bring back and will be key to our success. Just to name a few Jennings, Veldheer, Houston, Woodson, Walker, Sims, Jenkins and more

Schedule is part of the reason I've been speaking out against having a "win this many games or fire" mentality. Chiefs, Chargers, Donkeys, Pats, 49ers, Cards, Seahawks...that being said, if we spend another season getting blown out it's time for a new QB, new HC, and a new approach.
You are right though, we have some VERY important FAs to resign. Jennings tops the list, with Veldheer a close second. Gotta find some way of developing these two QBs we have, and that starts with offensive stability. If these QBs are a bust, we basically enter team building from square one again...which means another 3-5 years of losing.
