I don't really want to see Gronk back, they should just cut him if he doesn't retire... or at the least renegotiate the contract.

Brady saying in that interview his goal is still 45 and he learned things this year that will help him be better next year, dude is insane

he is making a lot of money

but man

consider what defenses have to think when he's on the field

if Gronk has block assignment and the defender thinks for a second he is going to break for a pass and they take a step backward - they're done

in a press conference I remember he said "it's not fun to catch all game and it's not fun to block all game", so maybe there is just a mutual understanding of his role

they still have to account for him on the field

he can still catch and run.. just not quite like he used to be able to

"Age has definitely taken a toll," he said. "For him to still be doing it, that's a great compliment for him. But I think that he's definitely not the same quarterback he was. Movement. Speed. Velocity. Arm strength. He still can sling it, but he's not slinging it as much. Whatever he was doing—because of his age and all that—he's not doing as much of that anymore. He's still doing the same things; he's just not doing as much of it. And sometimes, it's not the sharpest. But it still gets done."

Robey-Coleman added that he sees signs the Rams can get to Brady "all over the place."

"We have to stay connected," he said. "And he will slowly start to reveal himself."

Robey-Coleman went on to say that he views Super Bowl LIII like the barfight scene in a Bronx Tale, which ends with Chazz Palminteri's neighborhood mobster standing over a vanquished biker.

"We kick 'em out of the bar, beat 'em up—and the one thing he said, he looked down at a guy and said, 'I did this to you,'" Robey-Coleman said. "That's how I want to feel: I did this to you. I did this to you."

The Rams probably wouldn't even be in the Super Bowl, except Robey-Coleman was not flagged for an egregious pass interference penalty that would've allowed the Saints to run the clock down to zero before kicking the winning field goal in last week's NFC title game.

He's unapologetic, noting that the Saints still had a chance to win the game. And he's equally unrepentant when it comes to his views of New England, particularly its "arrogance."

"I've got Buffalo blood running through my veins, so you know I hate these guys," Robey-Coleman said. "I naturally hate them. I never liked New England."

Robey-Coleman knows he will spend the game shadowing Patriots weapon Julian Edelman in the slot, and he says he's ready.

"Because I know the art of war," Robey-Coleman said. "I know when to sink my teeth in. And when it's time to take advantage, when somebody's on their heels...you've got to come at them. Stick the dagger in them. Leave no doubt. That's all you've got to say. Leave no doubt. Don't fear, don't fear, don't fear beating the giant. Don't fear beating the GOAT. Don't fear it. Embrace it. Embrace it. Take it in—while you're doing it."

Seeing Warner/Brady footage and photos from 2001 juxtaposed alongside present Warner/Brady was pretty neat tbh

already backpedaling harder than Sixers@d2jsp:

At Opening Night Monday, Coleman said he doesn’t understand why people think he spoke ill of Tom Brady. “At this point, I feel a little disrespected that people think I would disrespect Tom Brady,” the Rams cornerback told the khaki pant-wearing assembled media masses, including our own Rob Bradford.
