One of Kelces catches was also a delayed screen
JC Jackson did fucking work against him
The biggest difference in the defense this year obviously starts with having Hightower back along with the growth of Tre Flowers, no question. Now we have the ability to pressure the QB anytime with multiple schemes. Sure, we don't get sacks, but we were 2nd? I believe at pressuring the QB. Wouldn't be shocked if we were 32nd last year...
That makes all the difference for the secondary

BB doesnt care about sacks too, pressures/hits are just about as important. Adrian clayborn, mccourty, flowers, guy, all got hits on Mahomes.

We had what though, 3 or 4 sacks that game? That's pretty fucking good against an elusive guy like Mahomes.

Anyone else think he was off though? He missed throws that game, that he's been making all fucking year. The worst one that one to Williams when he was pressured but untouched and he fucking sailed it by 5+. He also didn't use his legs at all, he ran what, two or three times all fucking game? I thought that was super weird, especially with how we've struggled to contain mobile QBs in the past.

Why don't you try reading the other posts in the thread. To think it has anything to do with complaining about crowd noise is just :bonk:

e: There's a reason whistles are on the prohibited item list for stadiums, but ya, I'm just complaining about crowd noise.....

You said he deserves a lifetime ban for whistling dude.

Whatever.

He should at least be told not to do it anymore and if he continues to do it, he should be banned... You're purposefully making the sound of an item that's not allowed in stadiums, because it can interfere with the game. Seems pretty straight forward and I hope you can see the difference between someone purposefully trying to stop active plays with the sound of a banned item and people being loud as fuck in an attempt to overwhelm the other team.

His 5 worst QBRs of his career before the AFC championship game? The 5 coldest games he had played in. Of course, I don't know everything that happened in those games, but it says something.
Make it 6 now

Remember the last few times we played the Chiefs offense? Especially last year...burned for huge play after huge play....BB at least controlled it this time.
Considering how much he was pressured, he used his legs quite well imo....we just had nice schemes where we always had someone containing him the moment he broke out of the pocket. We knew he was going to hold onto that ball and not make little 5-10 yard passes.
I agree we've had trouble with mobile QBs in the past, but Mahomes takes way too long to get rid of the ball...always looking for that home run. Great job by our defense considering how fucking amazing the Chiefs offense is.
2-3 of his throws were very off though.

Practicing indoor for a game where it's going to have the feel of single digits doesn't help :bonk:

True man... not the smartest move. Just glad we were able to overcome our own ineffectiveness, both those picks were rough and I don't know if you've noticed, but why the fuck doesn't Brady sneak the ball anymore on 4th and short? Seems like we always hand if off now and it's no longer a gimme for us. I ALWAYS felt confident about 4th and 1 or less, now I'm fucking stressing them every single time. I wonder if it's just about protecting him, or what. Seems like he should still be able to execute them effectively.

I think protecting him is a huge part of it. We can clearly see the emphasis the team made of protecting Brady.
Building a dominant offensive line and using heavy packages more than ever. I fucking love James Develin man....

Some people don't believe in this, but to me, it's BB/Josh whoever you want to say it is, showing how confident he is that his players will get the job done in the trenches, no matter what is asked. Don't need a sneak because we know you guys are always going to open that hole up when it's needed.
I believe such "things" just make the players more and more confident.
Blah blah to some, but not to all

I watched a decent amount of chiefs games this year because half my fantasy team was on the chiefs and there were quite a few misses like that. Followed up by 5 fucking insane throws only a couple players could make.
